A sneek preview of Sage 50 Version 2015
Our tried and trusted Sage 50 has evolved over the years. I can remember back to when we had Sage Sterling Version 3 (feeling old now!) which was later re-branded to Sage Line 50 and then Sage 50 as we know it today.
The upgrades along the way have been generally very positive, but Sage R&D team has taken a significant leap with this latest Sage 50 upgrade. Version 2015, which is due for release later in the summer has some great new features, which I think will go down very well with existing users (don’t worry, we will keep you posted on the release dates).
We had a sneek preview of the new release and thought we would share some snippets with you.
Firstly, the User Interface has been re-vamped and from what I can see, it is all good. It really has been designed to make life easier for the user, so I think users will be very happy with what they see. Little things can make a big difference, for example we now have better use of the keyboard – so this should speed up data entry. Also, there is a brand new toolbar which will automatically re-size to suit your screen. There have also been some enhancements to the search option, which should make it easier to find what you are looking for. And my favourite, you can now set customer accounts, supplier accounts and stock items as “inactive” – I can’t tell you how many requests we have had for this feature over the years!
But that’s not all. There are some enhancements to the back-up routine. How many times have you had to restore a back-up but realised that your back-up was not exactly up-to-date? Don’t worry, Sage 50 Version 2015 will back-up “as-you-go”, so you don’t even need to log out. This is an exciting new feature which takes away the hassle of remembering to back-up your data.
Sage 50 Version 2015 will also cater for larger transaction volumes and more users – great news!
Without giving too much away, Sage 50 Version 2015 includes some new functionality around Collaboration, which should facilitate your accountant and your remote workers to get access to your Sage 50 data. It is all fully secure with encryption key and password controls, so no worries there. This is a very welcome addition to the software – I think this will be very popular.
This new Sage 50 upgrade includes new mobile App’s– they are designed to help Managers get the high level information they need on-demand. The sales team will be pretty pleased too with a brand new Sales App.
So, as you can see Sage 50 Version 2015 ticks a lot of boxes. It is smart, slick and has been designed to make businesses more efficient. I think you will really love it.
