Sage Event, envisage this...

Sage Business Partner Event, at the AVIVA stadium, Dublin

Just in case you missed it, here's a quick synopsis of our "envisage this" event which took place last Wednesday 8th of June at the AVIVA stadium.

The day started early for the Envisage Team who arrived at the AVIVA stadium bright and early, all sporting beautiful pink polo shirts, modelled above two of our Director's, Peter Bergin and Ray Ryan. 

 

Envisage this "kicked off" around 8.45 with some mingling, some tea/coffee and some quick bites. Peter Bergin, our MD then "got the ball rolling" just after 9am with a jam-packed agenda to follow.

 

ZoĆ« from Draycir was first up and gave us a quick run through of the time and cost-saving solutions available from Draycir, including Credit Hound (Credit Control automation software), Spindle Professional (professional looking document distribution software) and Spindle Document Management (helping to reduce the piles of paper around the office). For more information and to watch some quick videos, visit:

Sarah from Sicon then gave us a brief overview of the WAP solution, in particular timesheets, expenses, purchase invoices and purchase requisitions. Sarah explained how the WAP solution for Sage 200 could help organisations to keep tighter control of their costs by introducing authorisation rules and processes. She also touched on how the WAP solution ties in perfectly with Sage 200 Project Accounting.

 

Eddie from Fieldmotion was next up and presented an introduction to Fieldmotion, an integrated solution for Sage 200 which has been designed to help companies with field service workers to get their jobs done faster and more profitably.

 

This was followed by an overview of easydd by David Burke. easydd is our own direct debit solution for Sage 50 and Sage 200. 

 

Sarah was back up to present the Sage 200 Cash Flow Manager - designed to give Sage 200 users advanced functionality to help manage cash flows, forecasts and budgets. Here's a quick video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acTf4ZHUokk&feature=youtu.be

Peter Day from Sage then took to the stage to share with us more information about Sales, Marketing and Service for Sage 200 as well as the fantastic brand new connector for Sage 200. This new connector offers Sage 200 users a completely integrated solution giving complete visibility of what's happening across the entire business, not just in the finance office!

 

Our guest speaker from CrowleysDFK, Colette Nagle gave an insightful presentation into the outsourced services provided by her company. 

 

And still only 11.30 am! We had quite a bit to go after the coffee break and so Jade from Panintelligence wasted no time in presenting their brilliant reporting and analysis tool designed to work with Sage 200, Sales, Marketing and Service and other external databases.

We then moved on to Sage 50 and Sage 200 product update presentations from Sarah-Jane and Peter from Sage. Lots of exiciting developments here.

 

For the last section of the morning, Ray Ryan took control of the microphone and hosted a discussion panel q&a session. Kenneth from Zinon Cloud also joined the panel to answer any hosting related queries. We had some interesting questions come in via our registration forms and hope that our team cleared up any queries or confusion about products or technology.

This wrapped up the morning and so it was back to the "east wing" for lunch and networking. Each of our presenters had an exhibition stand in the beautiful Vavasour Suite and so we were glad to see lots of engagement and discussions going on at the stands.

 

Some may say the highlight of the morning was the Tour of the Stadium presented by Les and assisted by ex-Irish international and Munster player, Felix Jones. Thanks Felix for joining us! Here are some of the pictures from the tour...

The afternoon session was more focused on Projects and WAP and in addition to presentations from Peter Bergin, Sarah Vickers and Jade Turley, we also had the pleasure of having Niamh Halligan from CrowleysDFK speak. Niamh gave an account of their experience with implementing the WAP/Sage 200 Solution for one of their public sector clients and the benefits and efficiencies that the solution delivered. 

 

Conclusion

When we set out earlier in the year to plan this event, we wanted to achieve a number of things:

 

1) to inform our customers about some of the possibilities beyond the core financials system. We wanted to bring new ideas and technologies to the table so that we could help our customers to "kick ass" in their own businesses.

 

2) to provide answers to questions. We wanted this Sage event to be a platform for customers to come along, chat with our team and our partners and pose any questions that they wanted answered. We have such a wealth of experience from being involved with Sage Solutions through the years, so we are always happy to share our knowledge and help our clients to do things better and smarter.

 

3) to share product updates, particularly new releases such as Sage 50 and Sage 200 and the new Sage CRM Connector. 

 

4) for us to meet and engage with our customers, particulary as Envisage Cloud was formed in 2014 as a result of a merger, so we wanted to get to know our customers again. 

 

5) to help organisations with projects and field workers to gain greater efficiencies, with our Project Accounting, Time & Expenses, Purchase Requisions, Invoice Approvals and Field Service Automation solutions.
